what makes a good vivah muhurta?
The Moon's nakshatra on the wedding day. Rohini, Hasta, Mrigashira, Magha, Uttara Phalguni, Uttara Ashadha, and Shravana are traditionally excellent for marriage.
Lunar day. 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th tithis are generally favorable. Avoid 4th, 8th, 14th, Amavasya, and Purnima.
Weekday. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are preferred for auspicious ceremonies. Tuesday and Saturday are generally avoided.
The combined longitude of Sun and Moon determines yoga. Avoid Vishkambha, Atiganda, Shoola, Ganda, Vyaghata, Vajra, Vyatipata, and Parigha.
